This is an open air milonga hosted by Cornelia to be held every Saturday afternoon, weather permitting. All tangueros are welcome.

The last Rooftop Milonga of the year will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2013.

Beginners’: The posture, embrace, walk, natural and comfortable way of keeping balance and moving. Clear leading and following. Then moving into rotations, pivots and ochos. Changing direction of the step of the follower. Basic cross with and without weight change.

Intermediate: Getting deeper understanding of step structure, and the “cross”. Structure of the cross. Structure of the sacada. Leaders/followers sacada on the open step. leaders sacada on the cross step. Variations. Discussing the difference between lyrical and rhythmical dancing. Same variations danced to different music. Advanced- leading to ochos “invisible leads”

Hello all,

We will be having a special Sunday milonga at Cafe Amour on May 6th.. .It has been a while… Amour was always a lot of fun and had great energy, so hopefully we can resurrect the recent past and have a smashing evening….

As usual there will be a great selection of music from the traditional to the modern… with a good mix of introverted and extroverted tango music…Classical with a bit of a modern twist — (Finnish, Italian, Turkish etc)… We may have a performance too!

Hello All,

This is a reminder that we are having a milonga at Cafe Amour Sunday, April 15th.  Last week was a lot of fun and had great energy, so let us keep up the momentum going..
As usual there will be a great selection of music from the traditional to the modern… with a good mix of introverted and extroverted tango music…Classical with a bit of a modern twist…

In addition as we have few scandivian guests, we will play some “Finnish” tango..
